9-17-2025 6pm Homestead. Caring Neighbors is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to serving residents in The Villages, one village at a time. It is a network of neighbors who proactively respond to the needs of neighbors facing non-medical challenges or crises, free of charge.
Examples of help: transportation, errands, respite care, meals, friendly home visits, grocery shopping, phone buddy, short term dog walking, lite handyman work.
If you like the idea of helping others, let's come together and organize an official Caring Neighbors group to help our fellow Citrus Grove friends and neighbors!
In order to establish a CG group and be ready to help our neighbors, we need VOLUNTEERS. To volunteer, you need to apply, select the type of help you are willing to provide, and agree to a background check. Caring Neighbors Service, Inc. will provide the processes and support when needed.
An information meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17th at Homestead Rec Center at 6pm. You can find out more about volunteering, answer questions, and learn how can help each other. Many people need help, and many want to offer help, Caring Neighbors gives us the opportunity to help make it happen with a proved process!
